Miami’s favorite fried food has to be the croqueta. Miami croquetas are tasty golden-brown finger food comes in all shapes, flavors and sizes. The best part, you can eat them at any time of the day! My personal favorites are Serrano ham filled croquetas with guava sauce on the side. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
Miami has some intense croqueta restaurant competition, but here I’ll share my top 5 croqueta having spots (that I’ve been to so far). There are plenty more croquetas to taste out here in the 305! Here are the Top Croqueta Locations in Miami.
5. Vicky Bakery
You can find a Vicky Bakery in every corner of Miami. Whenever you need some croquetas or pastelitos for family gatherings or events, Vicky’s is the place to go. I always order them for work festivities. Need a midday pick me up? Head to Vicky’s for a colada and croquetica.
4. La Carreta
The first La Carreta was founded in Little Havana’s Calle Ocho. You can now find them in other key locations around Miami, where they serve authentic Cuban cuisine. It’s the perfect spot to grab un Café con Leche with your family and enjoy some tasty croquetas!
3. Sergio’s
Sergio’s is known for their deliciously crispy ham croquetas and great brunch food. That’s my go to spot for Saturday brunch with my family, where I get to enjoy a Guava Berry Mimosa!
2. Bulla Gastro Bar
The lively Bulla Gastro Bar is filled with tons of delicious Spanish cuisine, including different tapas or small plate options and ham and cheese platters to go along with your choice of wine. The Serrano ham croquetas were small round delicacies and came with a side of a fig jelly sauce. So good!
1. Islas Canarias
My all time favorite croquetas are from Islas Canarias. This is my go to spot for ham croquetas! Sunday brunch at home isn’t the same without an order of these. They melt in your mouth and leave you craving more.
Extra: Dolores but you can call me Lolita
I wanted to add this one since I also love their croquetas! If you’re looking for a great night out spot but still want those traditional Miami croquetas, then this is your go to spot. Located in the heart of Brickell, they have delicious cuisine and an elegant ambiance.
