Q&A with Me Challenge

I’ve seen a few bloggers out there do the “73 Questions” challenge, which was originally a series on Vogue Magazine, where celebrities would answer 73 questions about themselves. It was great to see bloggers come together and share a little bit about themselves to better get to know each other.

I’ve decided to do something similar by using some questions I’ve seen on a few posts, but I’ve narrowed it down to 40 questions and also included some travel-based questions for my travelers out there! Let’s be honest, 73 is a lot of questions to read or answer, so I picked a few of my favorites! I can’t wait to hear your stories and read your posts. Comment with an excerpt about yourself and/or a link to your blog so I check out your Q&A.

Favorite color? It has changed over time but my favorite color at the moment is purple! More of a lavender color to be exact.

What’s your Starbucks order? Caramel Macchiato with Soymilk (sometimes with extra caramel drizzle). In the winter, I’m a Pumpkin Spice latte type of girl haha (tastes like the holidays).

Best advice you’ve received? “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” It’s not really advice that has been given to me, but I try to live by this. Also, this is important advice my grandpa always gives that has stuck to me- “Eres esclavo de lo que dices y dueño de lo que callas.” Translated in English it means, you are a slave to what you say and owner of what you keep quiet.

Guilty pleasure treat? M&Ms!

Favorite food? Probably pasta! I’ve been eating a lot of quesadillas lately though.  

Favorite trip so far? I have to say San Diego! It was such an unexpected getaway with so many thrills, and I was able to meet so many sweet individuals from all over the Caribbean and South America.

Twitter or Instagram? I used to use Instagram more than Twitter, but Twitter has all the great memes and you make great connections, so Twitter it is!

What is your favorite video game? I grew up playing games on the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, always had a Nintendo console in my house growing up so possibly Mario Cart is my favorite. Also, loved playing Sims 2 Pets on my computer!

What project are you working on right now? I am continuing to work on my blog and creating posts to stay active! Lots of things to do at work though, so just learning to juggle work life and blogging life.

Favorite book? I have been meaning to catch up on my reading, I have a few books I haven’t finished, but my most recent favorite book is Self-Made by Nely Galán.

Cruise or road trip? Cruising!

Describe yourself in three words. Sweet, Adventurous, Indecisive

Favorite movie? Wow this is a tough one… I love watching movies; I can’t choose! My movie love ranges from Disney Movies to Horror Films. If I had to pick, I’d say The Lion King since it’s such a classic and reminds me of my childhood (plus I am excited for the new one that is coming out soon).

Dream job? Full time Travel Blogger.

The best things ever? Chocolate, Cheese, airplanes and technology in general.

Do you play any sports? Never played sports but I enjoy being active and being outdoors.

Do you have a degree? Yes! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts and a Master’s Degree in Marketing.

Nationality? Cuban-American

What’s your favorite kind of blog post? I love reading Travel blog posts that are a mixture of being informative and storytelling.

What do you like to collect? I’ve always collected different things growing up, my newest collection obsession is collecting magnets from the destinations I’ve visited!

Where would you want to be right now? On a tropical vacay!

Sun or snow? I live in Sunny South Florida, so I like to change it up and see some snow once in a while.

What are you most grateful for this year? My beautiful life, family and new puppy, Luna!

Favorite holiday? Spooky season – Halloween!

What’s the biggest surprise you’ve ever had? My boyfriend and friends planned a surprise graduation brunch for me! It was so sweet. Also, last year, a friend of mine painted a portrait of my dog on a little canvas, my dog Lucy who is up in doggie heaven now. I cried, a lot. Happy and sad tears all in one.

What’s the best surprise you’ve given someone else? I love giving gifts, I like to order personalized items for my friends and family members, but I gifted my parents tickets to go see Elton John in concert which is probably the biggest and best surprise I have given someone.

Do you cook often? I rarely cook. I tried Blue Apron for a bit with my boyfriend to learn new recipes and get used to the kitchen, but that’s pretty much it.

Beaches or cities? This is a tough one…I live near the beach but I can never get enough of it.

What’s your favorite dessert? Molten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.

What’s your favorite condiment? Honey mustard.

Name three things that can always be found in your purse. A mirror, my Baby Lips Balm, and hand sanitizer.

Favorite drink? Water or orange juice, but a drink with alcohol would be a vodka cranberry or anything fruity.

Early worm or night owl? I don’t even know anymore, I used to be a night owl but now I just want to sleep early and also sleep in in the mornings.

Favorite Disney character? I’ll just say my favorite Disney princess instead- Mulan.

What’s your favorite animal? Horses.

What country would you like to visit? Spain! (soon)

Backpack or suitcase? Suitcase! I wish I could fit it all in a backpack, but I like to bring too much stuff with me just in case.

How many languages do you speak? Two (English and Spanish)

Last thing I do before going to bed? Make sure my alarm is set.

Adventure or relax? A little bit of both, but if I had to pick one, adventure!

From what I’ve seen on a few posts, the original rule was to nominate 12 bloggers to answer the questions too, but since I changed it up a bit I just want to share it with you all and I hope you guys decide to join in. Excited to hear all about you adventure seekers!
