Fort Wilderness
We can’t talk about Florida without talking about Disney World! I’ll be talking about a few of my favorite Disney parks and Disney experiences. First off! Fort Wilderness. For a friends birthday, all her closest friends were invited to stay a night or two glamping in Fort Wilderness. We spent our days there riding golf carts and checking out the wildlife. We even took a boat tour and went horseback riding. Fort Wilderness has it all, plus if you prefer the real camping experience, they have different booking options available. You can bring your own trailer, or use a tent (options available with electricity or without it).
Disney Water Parks
For a bit of summer excitement, what better place than a water-park to cool off at. Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are such a fun child friendly spot with tons of attractions for everyone in the family. I absolutely love Blizzard Beach’s theme, it was my a favorite water park as a kid. Another great spot is Typhoon Lagoon, it’s wave pool beats them all. The large 6 foot waves are intimidating but such a rush. There’s also the Crush ‘n’ Gusher thrill water ride and a Shark Reef! You can swim with live sharks and marine life.
The Disney Parks
Onto the theme parks, and of course a must see is Magic Kingdom! (Space Mountain is the best ride). You can also experience their parades and their firework spectaculars. Animal Kingdom is always a blast with so many nature inspired activities for the kids and entertaining shows! Epcot is the go to park for my friends and I, we like to go during Food and Wine season and take advantage of the delicious drinks and food. If we want to ride some rides, we go ahead and pick a fast pass and choose a time to come back to the ride when available.
This past year, I was able to check out Hollywood Studios for the first time! It was such a delight, what a sweet park with so much to see and so many delicious restaurants. We checked out the brand new Toy Story Land and I fell in love. We waited in line (for hours) for the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster Ride and it was so worth it! We decided to purchase a three day park hopper ticket (we are not annual pass-holders) to get the most of our weekend trip to Disney for a good price. Disney is always such a magical time!
