My friends and I were ready to head out of town, and what better place to go than Nashville, Tennessee! It was my friend’s birthday and she planned this weekend getaway, where we enjoyed the mountains and partied in Downtown Nash!
Biscuit Love
We took off Saturday morning on our short flight from Miami. Once we landed in Nashville, we rented a mini van that could accommodate 8 of us and plenty of luggage. First stop! Biscuit Love. We saw the line that was out the door and in the rain to be seated at the restaurant, but decided we had to try this food out! The wait went by quicker than expected, once inside we were served so quickly! The food was AMAZING! I had fried chicken over their flaky biscuit topped with gravy. After brunch, we decided to drive around the Downtown/Broadway area. We then headed about 20 minutes outside of Nash to check into our Airbnb. It was located in a quaint neighborhood. The home was roomy with enough space for us 8, plus extra space for entertaining! It was the brick home of my dreams.
Honky Tonk Party Bus
That evening, we purchased some drinks and snacks at a local Target, and then it was time to get dressed in our pixie outfits for the night. The girls all bought colorful wigs and pixie wings to hit the town. We decided to book a Honky Tonk Party Bus to show off our attire! It was such a good time – highly recommend booking a Honky Tonk Party bus when in Nashville; no need for a special occasion!
Haunted Houses & Wine
The next morning we got ready to visit the Nashville Market and have some food there. We then took a stroll around Centennial Park and visited The Parthenon. After that, we hit the road for 30 minute drive to Arrington Vineyards for wine tasting! (Centennial Park and Arrington Vineyard views pictured below). This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We enjoyed the weather + the wine and cheese! That night, we put our second costume of the weekend on and drove to the Haunted Houses at Nashville Nightmare for some scary thrills (Cow and Cowboy outfits pictured above).
Brunch + Bowling
Monday morning had arrived and we had to get ready to check out of our Airbnb. For brunch, we headed to Pinewood Bowling for bowling and food. Such a fun spot to visit! Once we finished up there, we had to head back to the airport to catch our 3:50pm flight. We passed TSA and once we got to our gate, we got the email were dreading… FLIGHT CANCELLED. Instead of choosing another flight (At that point, the only flights that were available were for the next morning), we decided to drive back down to Miami (About a 14 hour drive). We wanted to avoid any further cancellations, so we were ready for a road trip. We arrived safely in Miami the next morning!
It was a wild adventure that I wish I could relive. Can’t wait to visit Nash again real soon!
